We believe that the potential of social media for production has not yet been fully optimised, so we’ve partnered with PACT to boost independent productions through the Growth Accelerator programme, and help them lead the way.  The industry instinctively knows that social is a tool for driving conversation, however they are only now realising that it is fundamental to delivering online conversations, driving views at volume. We’re championing a new way of working with broadcast and production, because without a clear view of audience behaviour quality content gets lost in a crowded, digital and on-demand environments.

We create an understanding of what makes audiences talk, and this can be used even before an idea is pitched. Insight generated by online audience conversation data can be used to inform production’s ideas, treatments, narratives and development. This new process helps to identify the digital content that is needed to support discovery and connection with programmes. This process also provides production companies with material to pitch as additional content, beyond the business as usual EPK formats.  

Commissioning teams are responding positively to this new process, using these insights to work with production to refine pitches and in idea development. The insight provides additional ammunition for determining key programme collateral, underpinning themes and narrative beats, justifying tone, and discovering alternative talent.
